Lucy and Madeline get to know each other

Lucy and Madeline both now have their IV's out and also don't have to be under the tanning bed lights. Since they are looking good they put them together. This is the first time they have got to be together for any period of time. Kelli and I are now in a sleeping room as big as our two beds but it is nice to be about 50 feet from the girls and Kelli (and I) can go in an feed or hangout whenever without having to plan for it. There is a possibility that Lucy will get to go home earlier than Madeline because she is eating like a champ. They are saying that Lucy is way ahead of her gestation and Madeline is acting her age. Madeline has flashes of great eating and then other times not so much. We knew it was coming but we definitely are seeing our schedules being revolved around the girls and we are not even really full time parents yet. We will need to stick to good feeding/changing schedules for sure to make sure that one feeding doesn't just roll into the next all the time. We are having tons of fun with them especially now that they are in a crib and a crib together is great. We like to see how they look alike and how they don't. The more we get to know their personalities the less they look alike and Lucy is still like 7 ounces bigger too.
There is a tree that we can view from L & M's room that I thought was pretty cool so I put a picture of that on there as well. We still are hoping to be home before Christmas!

the posts are great and it sounds like you are more than full-time parents. It really sounds like a lot of joy and thankfulness. Those kiddos are such sweeties and you (ethan) and kelli have such a gleam as you celebrate these two gifts. miss you all very much, praying for you, love you, and have a pan of frozen enchiladas for you, grace+peace

Oh fun! They probably missed each other since the last few days have been the only time they've had apart. And the sister fun has begun...

Every time you post new pictures the first thing that comes to mind is how precious they look. They are absolutely perfect. What an incredible Christmas gift. And you two look very happy. Can’t wait to meet them. Keep the pictures coming. Love Heidi
