Happy Fathers Day!

I hope everyone had a good Fathers Day. Ethan enjoyed his first fathers day with the girls. We went over to Ethans parents for a yummy BBQ with family, and later in the evening after the girls had napped we took them on a walk to Fairhaven park and the girls watched while Ethan and I played a little one on one basketball. I kicked his butt! The girls are both so lucky to have such an amazing Dad, and they cant wait until they can kick his butt in some basketball too! Today the girls started their swimming lessons at the aquatic center, they are not really learning how to swim yet.....just playing and getting used to the water. Auntie Lou Lou came with, and played in the pool too, it was lots of fun! Alyssa and I decided that it would be nice to have a extra hand at the pool for when the swim lessons are over because it was pretty hard to get to crying babies changed, especially when there is no changing tables and we are soaking wet too. We ended up getting them in a onesie, but Lou and I had to leave still in our bathing suits.
The girls had their 6 month check last week, and they are as healthy as can be. Lucy weighed in at 16lbs14.5oz, and Madeline at 14lbs13.5 oz. Lucy was in the 90% for her height, and Madeline in the 60%, so it looks like the girls are both going to be taller then their mommy! They are eating baby food, with their favorite still being carrots! They are both rolling over tons, and I am going to bet that Lucy will be sitting up in a couple weeks:) Madeline still loves to put her toes in her mouth, and they are both starting to be more interested in eachother. They will hold hands and stare at eachother a lot more then they used to.
Again I want to thank all of our friends and family that have been so helpful these past 6 months. I dont know what I would do without all the help, you are all a huge blessing in our lives, and the girls, Ethan and I love you very much.

The girls are sooo cute! I can't believe how long it's been since we've seen them. We both look forward to your mom's family gathering in July so we can get reacquainted. I think you are both wonderful parents and your girls are so lucky to have you!
